I’m not sure that I agree with you. I think it’s been made pretty clear many times over in the last few years that a large majority of tech companies just don’t care about consumer privacy or about building products that knowingly are design to cause addiction (or anxiety) for the sake of growth.

Left to their own devices, these companies don’t really have a compelling reason to change their MOs.
I think there’s a lot to be said and done to start turning things around!
